Crossplay between Steam and console or mobile versions is not officially confirmed in the sources checked. Windows and macOS are listed for the Steam release, but the reviewed pages do not explicitly describe mixed-OS lobby compatibility either.

Online co-op tells you that people can play together over the internet. Crossplay asks a narrower question: whether players using different platforms or versions can join the same session. A platform being listed does not settle every pairing.
Windows ↔ macOS on Steam
Availability statement: Both operating systems appear in the Steam requirements.
Playing together: The reviewed pages do not explicitly confirm mixed-OS lobbies.
Steam PC ↔ Steam Deck / Linux
Availability statement: The developer FAQ lists Steam Deck and Linux.
Playing together: That platform listing does not independently confirm every pairing or setup.
Steam ↔ PS5
Availability statement: The official PlayStation Store lists an announced PS5 version with its release date to be determined.
Playing together: That listing does not explicitly confirm PS5-to-Steam crossplay.
Steam ↔ Xbox
Availability statement: The FAQ mentions console plans, but an Xbox-specific edition has not been verified in this review.
Playing together: No Steam-to-Xbox crossplay commitment appears in the reviewed sources.
Steam ↔ mobile / Roblox
Availability statement: The FAQ says mobile and Roblox versions are in development.
Playing together: It does not say those versions will share Steam lobbies.
This comparison uses the official Steam listing, developer FAQ and PlayStation listing. It does not treat a future release plan as a working connection feature.
Windows and Mac are listed under the same Steam game.
The Steam page supplies separate Windows and macOS requirements for BOMBANANA! app 4656000 and lists Online Co-op. These establish the advertised operating systems and multiplayer feature. They are not an explicit Windows-to-Mac crossplay statement.
The FAQ additionally names Steam Deck and Linux, and answers positively when asked about Steam Deck compatibility. That is a developer statement; this page does not label the game Valve Steam Deck Verified or establish a particular Linux configuration.
If everyone already has a compatible setup and needs the joining steps, use the BOMBANANA online guide.
A future version does not promise shared lobbies.
An official PS5 listing now confirms an announced PlayStation edition, with its date still to be determined. The FAQ discusses mobile and Roblox development; Xbox remains unverified in this review. None of these records explicitly confirms shared Steam lobbies.
Controller support
The FAQ’s Xbox and PlayStation controller references concern input devices. They do not prove an Xbox or PlayStation edition exists, or that console users can join a Steam lobby.
Progress and streaming
Joining a shared session, transferring progress between versions, and streaming a game to another device are separate capabilities. The reviewed sources provide no cross-save or Remote Play promise that we can report here.
The official record behind this answer.
- BOMBANANA! on Steam — operating-system requirements and listed game features.
- Pinned BOMBANANA developer FAQ — platform support, future versions, Steam Deck and controllers. The post identifies its author as a developer and shows a September 2 edit date.
- Official PlayStation listing — announced PS5 edition, date to be determined.
These sources were read on September 9, 2026; the PS5 listing was added during the platform-specific check. This is a dated source check, not our own multiplayer test. A later platform announcement or explicit compatibility statement could change the answer.
