Field guide /FIELD REFERENCE / THE MANUAL

The BOMBANANA Bomb Manual

Find BOMBANANA module references, learn what each monkey needs to report, and turn the manual's instructions into clear actions. Includes source limits.

START WITH THE PANEL IN FRONT OF YOU

Mute reads the book. The whole team supplies the clues. Identify the module, collect its current inputs, and send the manual’s answer back as a specific physical action. This page connects our module references; it is not a complete official manual.

Your module isn’t listed? Use that panel’s page in your current in-game book. Do not apply a similar-looking module’s table. The module directory lists our available guides.

One panel. One shared reference.

  1. Name and locate the module.

Say which puzzle you are reading and where it sits. If two panels share a module type, agree on a distinguishing position before exchanging values.

  2. Find its manual page.

The Mute Monkey uses the book. Match the page to the actual panel rather than starting from a remembered answer from the last bomb.

  3. Collect the fields it asks for.

Deaf reports visible clues; Blind contributes tactile information, including Braille readings where needed. Give the read value instead of guessing from how dots look.

  4. Use the matching rule.

Mute combines the clues using the page’s instructions and signals the result. If an input is missing, resolve it before returning an answer.

Campaign, Endless and Custom are game modes. They describe the run; they are not substitutes for identifying the individual module on the bomb.

A clue is not the answer.

Keep observation and interpretation separate. The number someone reads from the bomb may choose a table row; it is not automatically the number of a key to press.

PIANO / A SIMPLE DISTINCTION

Two inputs go in. Four notes come out.

Inputs: Braille octave and active-light color.
Lookup: the corresponding entry in the manual.
Answer: an ordered four-note sequence.

Our Piano reference now includes 28 sequences transcribed from a manual capture. The screenshot’s version is unknown, so check it against the book in your game.

For Switch, keep each color paired with the number in the same position. A correct number attached to the wrong switch produces a different problem. The Switch examples show how the input record becomes four explicit directions.

Make the last instruction easy to act on.

Module and position → current clues → manual lookup → specific action → observed result.
  • Name the target. Keep the module and its position attached to the answer.
  • Preserve the order. Number a sequence so repeated notes or directions are not accidentally dropped.
  • Agree on the viewpoint. Use the operator’s left and right consistently when referring to physical controls.
  • Check what happened. Establish whether the panel cleared, changed, or still expects input before continuing.

This is an editorial communication routine, not an additional game rule. After an interruption, check the current clues and any entered progress. Do not assume every module resets in the same way.

Questions about the book.

Is this the official BOMBANANA manual?

No. This is an independent guide to using the book, with selected module references. It is not a complete official PDF or a replacement for your current in-game instructions.

Who can read the in-game manual?

The Mute Monkey has the manual. Deaf watches the signals and relays instructions to Blind, who operates the bomb. The beginner guide explains the three roles.

Where are the Piano note tables?

Open the Piano note reference, select the active-light color and find the octave row. Its 28 sequences come from a captured manual; full-release compatibility has not been independently verified.

Does the Switch table work for every color order?

Our Switch reference documents the three orders visible in the captured Demo manual. It does not establish unlisted orders or missing equality cases. Follow your live manual when it differs.

Are room codes the same as puzzle answers?

No. A room code lets players join a game. A module’s code or answer comes from that puzzle’s current state. Neither establishes that the game has reward-redemption codes.

Why does a video show different early levels?

Demo and full-release progression can differ. A video’s level number does not identify its version. Check the version and actual module before using it as a walkthrough.

What if a rule and my game disagree?

Use the current in-game instructions. Keep the module name, version, inputs, attempted action and observed result together when investigating a mismatch. A failed input alone does not show whether the rule, clue reading or execution was wrong.

Know what each guide supports.

Role and mode information is based on the official Steam description and developer FAQ. Module pages identify their own manual captures, recorded examples and limitations.

A Demo example remains a Demo example. A transcribed image establishes what that image says, but an undated capture does not prove the rule is current. We have not personally playtested these guides.

Use the campaign index for community-sourced lineups and preparation. A Random slot is a pool of possible modules, not a guaranteed answer.
